As a dancer, performing is deeply personal because it spotlights not only your artistic growth but also your personal growth.
ASTC intentionally challenges dancers to take risks, to be vulnerable, to breakthrough the conventional. The creative process involves the collaboration from artists of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds in merging their art, culture, experiences, and perspectives to create SYNERGY, a single story and a powerful vision that blends the strengths from the group.
In doing this, our aim is to inspire and empower our audiences to take bold risks in their own lives to create the impact they want to see in themselves, their communities, and the world.

Welcome to the official audition page for ASTC’s latest theater production, “The Myth.” We are excited to invite talented actors and dancers to be part of this groundbreaking project that celebrates cultural diversity and artistic expression.
About “The Myth”:
“The Myth” is more than just a theatrical performance; it’s an artistic journey that weaves together the rich tapestries of dance from across the globe. From the raw energy of street dance to the elegance of Ballet, this production explores the intersections of cultural identity and personal transformation. Audiences will be captivated by the stories of four unique characters, each on a quest to rediscover their authentic selves through vulnerability and cultural introspection. As part of our mission to foster community and inspire artistic exploration, “The Myth” not only serves as a performance but also as a catalyst for communal involvement and shared creativity.
What We Are Looking For:
actors and dancers for lead and supporting roles. Candidates must be proficient in a variety of dance styles, including street dance, contemporary, and ballet. We encourage performers from diverse backgrounds to apply and contribute their unique voices to this powerful production.
Ideal candidates are those who are deeply committed to their craft and constantly seek opportunities to grow and gain experience. If you are passionate about your artistic journey and ready to explore new creative horizons such as acting, we encourage you to audition for “The Myth.”
2 Male Dancers: versatile in street dance (krump, Flexn’, hip hop, popping and animation), and contemporary (BEG-INT level).
2 Female Dancers: versatile in hip hop, contemporary and heels dance.

ASTC The Company was founded in 2017 by Italian native, Amanda Spilinga. ASTC Movement is greatly inspired and grounded by the influence of the strong emotional & cultural histories of Street Styles, Classical Ballet, and Contemporary Movement. The power in combining the strengths of each of these art forms quickly became the ASTC Signature known as Alternative Synergy.
Our #1 goal is to be a premier New York City performing arts company that not only entertains but inspires our audiences to break down barriers to spark the change they want to see in themselves and the world around them.

Draw out and develop your adaptation, freestyle, and free form abilities
Strengthen your storytelling and character-building skills through exploration and application
Expand your technical vocabulary in various Street Dances, Classical Ballet, and Contemporary
Develop live Performance and On-Camera Work skills
Bring out the ‘You’ in your dance by deepening your connection to ‘You’ and others
Provide performance opportunities in New York and Las Vegas.
